Celebrate Good Times

Justin took Mikie and I out for a lovely dinner to celebrate her (belated) birthday and my maternity leave.  We went to a favorite restaurant in North Beach--Da Flora--for a sublime dinner.  We love neighborhood places and this has been a special place for us since the beginning of our relationship--when we had our 2nd date here on Halloween 2001.

A sight for sore eyes...

I started doing pilates in January of 2006.  I have been working with a wonderful instructor who has also become a dear friend--Cathie Caraker.  So many of my neck, back and feet issues have been resolved as a result of the work I have done with her.  I know that the physical ease of this pregnancy would not have been possible just a couple of years ago, and for that I continue to be so appreciative and grateful.  I hope that my physical wellness will also help during the labor, birth and recovery.  Cathie took these photos of me at our last session...

Visit with Uncle Adam

My mom and I popped over to Rockridge this afternoon to have lunch with brother Adam before his work day started...  Yes, best TJ's EVER!

Little Birdy might end up sharing a birthday with his uncle Adam--May 3rd.  We'll see how it goes...

So Much Love...

We were showered today with so much love, good wishes and darn cute stuff for the little one.

Justin's mom was in town for a long weekend to celebrate her birthday with us, as well as the shower.  My mom arrived at the end of March for a long stay and here the three of us are...

Here are a few of our nearest and dearest...friends in the Bay Area, and Sandee (my step-mom) came up for the day from S. California...

So generous all have been at this time and always--sharing stories, lives and heart.  My cup is so very full.

Spring has sprung

We had a tea today to celebrate Marianne!  She and brother Adam are getting married later this year.  She is a sweetheart and a lovely person, and we had such fun honoring her and the wedding that is in the works.  There is nothing like pink, a girly tearoom and delicious food to kick off a bridal party.  Here she is with me and my mom, Mikie...
