Happy Easter!

No, it's not a palm for Palm Sunday, and I know it is not an Easter Lily... It is our big, beautiful plant that needs a new home--might that be you??

Back to the regular scheduled programming...

Justin's mom is in town for her birthday, and to wrangle B while we do final packing for our move next week. Here we are at dinner at neighborhood favorite Chenery Park



Brennan LOVES his Easter card from his Aunt Sharon and Uncle Wendell, and has loved it (almost) to pieces! (His hair is getting some "training" by his grandmother... hee, hee)



Here's proof that the hair will rise again!!

On the Move...

We've been under the weather over here for what feels like weeks, but that has not prevented Brennan from keeping things interesting. He is mostly commando crawling and happily stacks his blocks... until both activities upset and overwhelm him. Then it is to me for a big hug, with both his arms around my neck--not many things better than that!




We are moving next week, so we've been packing and arranging between sneezes and naps. More when we get settled...

FUN!

This kid knows how to have a good time wherever he goes! Here he is with Jack while we were visiting them in Boulder. He loves big kids, especially when they dig him too! They have seen each other three times in the last seven months and Jack is just the sweetest guy with him. In August when we visited Jack was so disappointed that B couldn't run around and play in the backyard with him, and instead gave him a bottle and bounced him around in his bouncy seat. In December, he was a little more prepared for a baby and instead showed B his room and inspired B's laughter fits when he climbed up his bunkbed ladder. This trip he read him a few books, let B "fly" on his legs and wrote him stories like "Don't Let the Pigeon Play Soccer" and "Don't Let the Pigeon Ski" inspired by our current favorite author Mo Willems and the Pigeon and Knufflebunny series of books--check them out!

Tooth 3 and Tooth 4...

We are in Denver for a long weekend visit--combo work and play...
Two of the three nights little B has slept so fitfully that I was only able to cat-nap
for a few hours here and there, and then today he has TWO new teeth on top!
Yippee! He just seemed so much happier today... Fingers crossed for a good night's
sleep tonight...

My mom came in for my 40th birthday and to see us all before she set out for her 2 months in Venice, Italy to paint and further study Italian (and will return just in time for B's 1st b-day). We had a lovely visit and we BARTed with her to SFO to send her on her way...

Happy 40th!

Well, the day is here...  I'm 40!  We had another open house today for our condo that is on the market, so I ventured out for a yummy lunch in Noe at Toast with my boys and mom.  My mom ferried Brennan away early so Justin and I could spend a little time together.  We walked around for a bit and ran into them and this truck!!  My dad has been calling little B "Spud" on occasion, so I could not resist...

We went to Mitchell's to pick up some ice cream to go with the chocolate Kathy's Kaluha Cake for my birthday dessert that Siobhan baked:

I joked that I was getting my favorite birthday of my childhood:  rigatoni with my mom's red sauce, garlic bread and salad--thanks Mom!  I usually had a lemon cake of some sort, but opted for chocolate this year.
