Here we go...

Just returned from our last appointment with our midwife, and the results of the non-stress test indicate that my ambiotic fluid is on the low side of acceptable for 41+ weeks.  We are going to the hospital tonight to start induction, and we will go from there!  We'll keep you posted.
Much love from all of us!

Still here...

No fun pictures--pictures of us waiting patiently, and eating out a lot wouldn't really be that interesting, now would they??  Thought something was really happening last night, but the contractions stalled after a few hours.  It will be the real thing one of these day--maybe tomorrow!!  Would love for the little guy to be here for Mother's Day...

Babywatch 2008...

No real news to report...  We had a non-stress test today, and the little guy seems to be a happy camper just hanging out in there--his heart rate and the fluid level were both good.  Both my brother and I were born at least a week late, and my mom and one of her sisters were 2 weeks and 3+ weeks late...  I think it is my genetic gestational path.  Our midwives (and the doctors they practice with) will not let me go beyond 42 weeks.  I had the first of three acupuncture treatments today with the hope that that will get things going...
We'll keep you posted!

Much love,
K

Due Date!!

Well, here we are... May 1st aka DUE DATE.  He is still safely in my belly and we play a little more of the waiting game...

Justin and I took advantage of our "free" day and drove down to Half Moon Bay for the afternoon, and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

It was a lovely way to commemorate our little one's Due Date--a walk around and drink at the Ritz-Carlton, and then we drove a little further down to Duarte's in Pescadero for an early dinner of cioppino and artichokes with olallieberry pie for dessert!  Yum!

He will be here soon, and we'll keep you posted!
