It's a...

The last few months have been a whirlwind of news, excitement and appointments. Justin and I thought it would be really fun to create a memorable experience for ourselves for when we learned of Birdy's gender...
Kind of like what we have done for each of you over the last few weeks... We took an envelope to Paris with us with the gender information inside. A few days into our trip, after spending most of the day walking around Paris, we headed to the...



and walked up the stairs to the second level lookout. We pulled the envelope out of my bag, and began to open the envelope...


Justin handed over the opened envelope, and I whipped out the piece of paper, and with tears of joy...

Birdy says: My mom and dad went to the doctor again today.  My mom had to have a test today to make sure that everything is okay with me.  During the CVS procedure they took lots of pictures of me and my current home to make sure they were getting tissue samples of the placenta and not of me!  They are going to grow the tissue sample for about a week and then test it to make sure that genetically I am in good shape.  Here I am...

Birdy says:  My mom went to the doctor today to see just how old I am.  She brought home this picture of me and my dad asked "we're having a bird?"  You can see how he might confuse my early stage cuteness with that of a little "Birdy."  This is the origin of my nickname, which we all prefer to embryo, fetus or baby.

Wow! Is this for real??
